- Respect and listen to each other, respect the learning environment, work cooperatively and no vulgar language or profanity.
- Be on time, take ownership over assignments, ask questions, come to class with materials and homework assignments completed.
- In order to create trust and promote a positive learning environment students are to be honest about their work and complete assignments with integrity.
- Students are to produce quality work that is to the highest level that they can achieve. The only person you are in competition with is yourself. Strive to improve every day.

Course Text:
- We will be using the text from College Preparatory Mathematics (CPM), Core Connections Integrated 3, aligned with the National Common Core Standards in Mathematics.
Course Materials:
- One or two inch 3-ring binder (1” or 2") with tab dividers for the following sections: A, B, C, D, E, G and Graph paper.
- Pencils
- Pens (preferably red, not black or blue)
- Ruler
- 3 Highlighters (each a different color)
- Scientific Calculator
- Graphing Calculator
- Colored Pencils (recommended)
- zipper pouch to hold materials (recommended)

Assignments:
- Students are expected to complete all assignments..
- All work must be done in pencil and any work that is not finished in class becomes homework.
- Assignments will be due the at the beginning of the next class period for full credit.
- Copying someone else’s work is unacceptable; both “borrower” and “lender” will receive zero credit. In addition, the office will be notified and parents/guardians contacted.
- Students who are absent are responsible for making up any missed assignments. Students should visit the classroom website, ask peers or check with the teacher for missed work.
- Students with excused absences will receive one extra day to complete missed work.
- For further assistance, visit the class website. There are instructional videos posted by chapter.
Food, Beverage, and Gum Policy:
- There is absolutely no eating or chewing gum allowed during class.
- The only beverage students may drink is water.
Cell Phone Policy:
- Cell phones are not allowed in class and must be silent and stowed away at all times.
Tardy Policy:
- Students must be in their assigned seat by the time the bell rings or they will be considered tardy.
- If students are tardy/late to class, they must enter quietly, take a seat and begin working.
Grading Policy:
- Grading will be based on performances on exams, quizzes, projects and assignments.
- Grades will be weighted 10% homework, 20% classwork, 10% team tests, 20% quizzes and 40% exams including the final.
- The growth mindset is valued, so students will be allowed to retake exams at least once for a higher grade.
- Grades will be based on the grading scale below.
